"I asked our Youth team what they intended to do with the youth this year. 'We intend to love them'. This was the best answer I could ever imagine, and was totally satisfied that our Youth were in good hands." -Christian Education Superintendent, Madison Baptist

"Hey Madison, what are you all about?"
Ha! That's easy.
Jesus. Everything else is boring.
OK, when's the next meeting?
We take a different approach to Youth group at Madison. There are no regularly scheduled events
(aside from the Youth Sunday School class every Sunday). Instead our leaders stay in contact with the youth through social media and get together with them in small groups for coffee or dinner or on occasion for something bigger.
Wait, what exactly are you trying to do?
We want the youth to fall in love with Jesus. We
want them to understand that God will always
love them, look after them, put them on the right
path, correct them, and support them. We also
want to build real community with them, real
friendships. We want to be mentors available to
them in hopes they come and talk with us about
what's really going on in their lives so we can
We also want to get together and have fun!
How would that even be possible?!?!!?
Well, we have the ultimate "User's Guide" for humanity, the Bible! It's where
God shows Himself to us- He is the ultimate good, the creator and source of
all joy. He sent Jesus to show us in person what He's like and how he deals
with everything and everyone. He dealt with the heartbroken, the arrogant,
the gangsters, the rich, the poor, prostitutes and governors. We use His book
and His example when dealing with youth.

What happens in Sunday School, and what age group are we talking about?
While the Youth group doesn't have any real age restrictions, our Sunday School group runs from
about 13-18 in years. What do we do? We study the Bible, we ask questions, we have open
discussions about everything in life- ask anything, we'll talk about it. We want to be about God's
business, and God likes tough questions..
